3.24 It wasn't meant to be

Rafe and Luke weren't fighting for long. Somehow Rafe never managed to hold a grudge against his brother for very long, but he is a bit worried about his brothers behavior. He actually didn't realize he did something wrong when he dyed his brothers hair, he just wanted him to be violet.

And Rafe isn't the only one who is worrying about Luke's behavior. When Madeline tries to discuss the subject with Danya, she has been spending weeks trying to work up the courage to bring up the subject.
"So Danya," Danya raised her eyebrows at Madeline and sighed. Madeline looked at Danya when she heard her sigh and corrected herself, "so mom, do you ever notice something ehm...off about Luke?"

Danya grabs her spoon while thinking about how to answer this, "what do you mean by off?" "Well, don't you think this whole purple thing is going a bit to far? I don't remember Rafe having an obsession with something like this..." Swallowing the mac and cheese quite audibly Danya frowns, "he's just a persistent little boy, no need to worry about that,  I'd worry about your wedding instead, why aren't you and Ryan married yet?" Now it was time for Madeline to think about how to response, she'd never have the courage to tell the old lady that it is none of her bussiness, "well, we don't want anything big, and well, the moment never actually seems right..."

Danya drops her spoon in her bowl and spreads her arms in disbelieve when she hears those words, "Is that what is keeping you both from getting married? I started to think something must have been wrong, you two aren't getting any younger you know! Why don't you do it tonight? Ryan's father and I had a private wedding, there is nothing wrong with that." Madeline frowns at her mac and cheese while thinking this suggestion through, "tonight? but what about the boys?" "I'm sure the boy's won't mind, you can always ask them." "And the dress?? It's not like it's going to be big, but I would like to dress for the occasion."
Danya tapped her chin while thinking this through, "I think my dress is still around somewhere, let me go take a look, we could change a bit about the small details, but it should fit you just fine."
Realizing there is nothing she can think of to put this off any longer, she puts down her spoon, "well, then we probably should get busy, don't you think?"

That night everybody dressed up for all the happenings of that evening.

At first it was Rafe's time to age up to become a Young Adult. Sidney had aged up a few months before him, he was happy he would be able to meet up with her again. Though she kept coming up with excuses every time he called her, telling him something actually came up.

When Rafe had aged up, it was time for Luke to become a teenager. Dressed in pretty formal violet, everybody was anxious to see what would happen. Ryan feared it might be more violet though, and attempted to walk away.

Not able to resist to look, like with a horror movie, when you know something awful would happen, he stayed and looked through the whole process. Maddie wasn't so brave and turned her back on it, "is he violet??" she whispered at Ryan when everybody stopped cheering. "No love, you can safely turn around, he's not dressed in violet..."
Luke looked down at his attire though, and summoned everybody to stay put as he walked of to his dresser.

When he got back he was rather pleased with himself, "much better don't you think?" He asked nobody in particular. Maddie rushed off to the counter, not able to constrain her worries about her son anymore. When Ryan walked over her to calm her down she whispered "it's starting to get a bit insane Ryan, what's wrong with our boy?"

Ryan pulled her in a hug, "don't worry love, he's a sweet boy, he wouldn't harm a fly...well, perhaps maybe die it violet, but he wouldn't harm it. Even if there is something wrong with him, we still love him and ah well" Ryan shrugs,"we'll just keep him close to watch over him."

Waiting for Rafe to come back from the bathroom, everybody gathered to proceed to the next part of this evening. Ryan and Madeline looked at each other, both excited that it was finally time for them to really get married.

As Rafe came back to the room, Danya looked at her son and his new love. She was so happy he was allowed to get a second chance in live. She really wished for him to have everything go the way he wanted it to. The boy had such a hard life and she really hopes he will be able to tackle everything else life will throw at him.

A sadness washed over Danya as she realized that life still wasn't fair. At least for Ryan it wasn't, she just hopes they can both get over this and really see how they were meant to be together.

  4. Something will probably go wrong. Klevkin hasn't spoiled anything for me but come on, we hang out too much! You just can't write happy generations when you'll spent so much time with me.

Rafe and Luke grew up so well. I'm so super excited for Luke's generation to take over. Can't wait!
