3.28 Getting Old

Ryan got old that day, and he couldn't understand what all the fuzz was about. For him it meant that time had been going by far to quickly. His youngest son was still a teenager, yet he was already among the elderly. He felt like he hadn't had much time to focus on his own goals in live. He was an actor yes, but only at the beginning of what being an actor really was about. He did not regret his life so far, but he was hoping he'd be able to focus on his work now.

"Son, do you know what you are going to do when you become an adult?" Luke looked up from his homework to look at his dad, he only just became an elder, and already he was fuzzing him about his future? "Ehm, don't know dad, haven't been giving it much thought...." Luke lied, he had been giving it a lot of thought in fact and he knew exactly what he wanted to do. "We won't be around to take care of you forever, you know that right??" Ryan gave Luke a piercing look, trying to read his sons mind. "I know dad, I'm not a complete moron!"

 "Hold it right there young man! We never said you were a moron, where would you get such an idea?" Luke looked at his mother with surprise, "you're serious aren't you? did you think I wouldn't notice you two talking about me?"

Madeline sighs when she hears her sons words, they should have talked to him about this earlier, "we do not think you are a moron. We are merely worried about how obsessive you are about the color purple..." Luke frowned at his mother when he heard her say that, "violet I mean," Madeline continued when she noticed her sons frown. "We know you are a very intelligent young man, we think you might even be a genius, but some things worry us. But you are not a moron!"

The conversation fell silent after that, and Madeline looked at Luke smiling when she picked up her spoon again, "I know you think you've managed to drop the subject...no such luck today son," she whispered at him, Luke's smile vanished. "Can't you just be satisfied by the idea I did think about it, and I promise you I will have a job the moment I get out of school!"

Seven months later it was time for Madeline to become an elder while she was fishing at the shore. Life had become quiet at home, Luke constantly painting, Ryan off to get promotions all the time. She didn't even notice that her birthday was already due.

Not that it mattered, she just continued fishing when the sparkles disappeared. It was better this way, she hadn't even had the time to freak out over the pending wrinkles. They are here now, and there is no way she can do anything about it.

Ryan kept working out, the doctor had told him to tone it down a bit, but not all together, he was fit enough and the way he was going he would probably live longer then any other sim. He perfected the athletics abilities of his body and he felt very good about it.

It even made sure he was still getting the good parts. For his next movie he had been hired to become an astronaut, he was invited to the military facility to make his acting as realistic as possible. But it was still hard work to get that promotion he wanted so badly.

But even when it sometimes looks as though they live next to each other, all of them doing their own thing, Ryan and Madeline always manage to get the sparks flying. Having them fly around in Luke's room is just for the extra "umph".

Far to soon the day came their son was going to be an adult. All grown up, eligible to make his own decisions, to do his own thing. Madeline blows her party horn, hoping Luke is not wishing for something violet.

Luke on the other hand is quite satisfied with his new violet suit. And he knows his future is out there, waiting for him. Luke is now a man with a mission, and by all means he will make sure his mission will be a succes!

Ryan married Satya, had Rafe and when she died he had Luke with maddie whom he is now happily married to.

Ryan is in the 6th step of the career, specialized in acting. I am still hoping to get him to the top. But doubt I will get that.

Satya was an Author..didn't get very far though, but that doesn't matter ;)

2nd Secondary Income: Adventurer

Cause of glitches and stuff I rerolled, so Maddie is now a fisherwomen. She's at the 4th level I think.
Generation Goal: Perfectionist: 

Ryan has perfected the athletic skill just before Luke became an adult ;) I'm quite happy with that, thought it would be hell to get it before he died, but apparently not :)

Rafe is mothered by Satya, Luke is mothered by Maddie.
