3.23 Purple Pranks

Still trying to set a good example Luke dresses in purple as much as he can. To make sure it's not overdone, he always adds a touch of white. He realizes it is quite the art to make sure you come out looking your best. Keeping the decree fresh in everybody's memory is a day job as well. While he mentions it every time he presides over his royal court, nobody seems to act upon his order.

Luke tries to discuss the situation with people as well, but even his best friend isn't capable of understanding his point of view. Sommer has become his best friend ever since they first met at school, but sometimes she can be a little bit dumb. She was however the only one willing to come to his slumber party, his parents finally allowed him to have while they were away for the weekend.

Even his major example, his big brother refused to listen to him. "Rafe! You have to wear violet! Don't you get it! You must!" Rafe stuffs his mouth with waffles before looking up at Luke, "listen to me, I am NOT going to wear purple, what's up with the purple anyway?" Luke's eyes widen, his face turns to red, "it's VIOLET! not purple, not pink, its VIOLET!" He climbs down from the chair and storms of to the bathroom. Rafe just shrugs, he can't remember if he was doing stuff like this when he was a kid, but Luke will get over it eventually, not even if its play pretend, you will never ever see Rafe wearing purple.

Apparently Luke thought different, Rafe ruffled his hair with his hands, "LUKE! YOU BRAT!" storming out of the bathroom he hears Luke giggle, "violet looks great on you bro!" then he bolts towards the yard, where a purple haired naked Rafe is sure not to follow. "You just wait till mom and dad get back home!"

But Rafe is not patient enough to wait for his parents to actually get home. The next morning, a few hours before their parents should get back, Rafe can't help himself but smile when he notices his brother dressed to preside again, revenge can taste so sweet.

Though when Luke sat next to him on the bus, all purple and crowned, Rafe started to regret his decision to pick on his little brother, this was going to get back at him and bite him in the ass.

When the boys got home from school, Ryan and Maddie were there to wait for them. But as Rafe started to talk to his father, Ryan looked over his shoulder, "Luke, son? Why were you wearing your crown to school? I thought we had rules about that?" Luke gives Rafe the evil eye while ignoring his fathers question. "Mom! I can't get my crown off, it's stuck," which he demonstrates by trying to get it off again. Ryan looks back at Rafe the minute he sees Luke is not kidding around. "He died my hair pink!"

"No mom I didnt, honestly!" Maddie could hear Rafe nearly growling when Luke started to deny it. "Luke? Be honest." Luke backed up a bit, "it wasn't pink, I swear! It was violet, but the water made it look like pink..." Maddie raises her eyebrows as she tries to hold back the giggle that is trying to find it's way out. Resisting the urge to ask if he took any photo's she looks helplessly at Ryan. "Why don't you put him under the shower to see if it comes off, and I'll have a little chat with my son here."

"Rafe?" Ryan scratches his head as he watches his son struggling to find a look that would suite the situation. When he finally settles for apologetic Ryan know's he's in for it. Like his mother, Rafe has always had a way with words, and he always manages to make things sound so logical. "Luke died my hair pink," "Violet.." Ryan interrupts Rafe, not able to contain a chuckle, "Fine, violet," Rafe sighed, "so instead of waiting for you both to come home and deal with it, I decided to take matters into my own hand. I am sorry, I should not have acted upon my instincts, I should have let you two deal with it and I promise that the next time I wil."
When Rafe has finished his speech, he had time to practice it at school, he blinked his eyes a bit, hoping it would look as though he really regretted what he did.
"Well, I'm glad you know what went wrong and promise to never do it again, but what did you do?" Rafe looked down at his feet, mumbling something so soft, Ryan had to get closer to realize what he was saying, "you did WHAT? superglue?!?" Ryan suddenly bursts out, "what on earth is wrong with you! did you not learn how to read at school? did you just happen to overlook all the warnings on the glue?" Rafe who is not used to his father yelling, jumps back and turns pale, unsure what to say to the matter. His father was right, he didn't think about it, so he decides to say nothing, because everything he can say now, will only make things worse. Ryan looks at him pensively for a minute or so, then shakes his head in dismay and walks towards the shower.

In the shower it becomes clear very quickly that no matter what they try, the crown won't come off. But even though Rafe might think so, Luke is not getting a free out of jail card either. "What on earth came into you! Why would you die your brothers hair pink?" "Violet mom!" "Violet, pink who cares? You have no right to do that to your brother." Maddie is starting to get frustrated, her sons obsession with violet started to get out of controle. "Listen to me, you cannot order people to wear violet, you can not force people to do that, not even with hair die, and if you ever do something like that again, you will be grounded for the rest of your life!" When she hears the door open up she turns around and sees Ryan in quite a state as well, "you can take him out of the shower, that is not going to help. Rafe used superglue." Maddie frowned, "what on earth!" Ryan scoffs, "been there, done that, now we need to get the scissors and get that thing of off Luke."

About an hour later Luke rushed into his bedroom, rummaging through his clothes he finally found what he was looking for. Perhaps his point of view wasn't the right one, at least not now, maybe when he gets older. But for now, he learned the hard way that he should stop telling people to wear violet. But at least he was still allowed to, bringing his hands to his head, he pulls the violet cap over his head to cover his hideous haircut.

----------------------------------------Notes-------------------------------------
Right so actually, this was a glitch....sort of :D but I enjoyed it! After I changed the colors of the king outfit to purple the crown stayed on until I changed his haircut :) As you guys might have picked up...I don't get the difference between violet and purple...even pink, it's all the same to me :D (well okay, not really, pink and purple are different, i'm not color blind..)

I kind of like the cap on Luke :D I normally never have boys with caps or other stuff on their head...I might leave it this way!

Cookies for the one who can guess the trait Luke got when he turned a child :)

And in response to the previous comments :D I'm glad I am not the only one who doesn't actually like Sidney...But Rafe kept rolling wishes to flirt with her, and did it autonomous as well...

  1. I'm going to have to say...rebellious?

And as far as I know, violet has more red than blue, and purple has more blue than red. And now the ex-art history student will stop geeking out.

  2. LOL! Poor Luke....and Rafe! Sibling rivalry at it's best. I miss Luke's hair, he is still adorable though. I can't wait to see what he looks like when he grows up...I bet he's sexy! Ahaha. I have no idea about the trait since there isn't a violet loving trait. ^_^

  3. Luke wouldn't be rebellious would he? I thought the tricks were quite cute...

  4. I think its rebellious. Since "BRAT" isn't an available trait.

That sibling rivalry is pretty bad but I have to admit, I like Luke's hat. It really suits his face and he looks sooo cute!

I just love his face <3.
