2.2 What about the future?

"We are going to be just fine Tiger! Aren't we girl?" Boy said before starting to unpack his stuff in his apartment.  He was able to find a place for himself quite easily, so he only had to spend a few nights on the beach. And it wasn't that bad actually. Every now and then he'd just slip back into his parents place to steal some stuff. Most important, he also took their money. They owed him that much, and now at least he's able to get his own place and afford some furniture and basic needs.

Tiger agreed with everything, she was happy as long as her boy was happy.

Knowing that he needed more to provide for himself, Boy went out the next day to get a job. Since he never went to school, he wasn't sure if he would be able to find one. But at the end of the day he managed to get a job as a mailroom clerk. No education needed there. Though he had higher ambitions, he would not complain about having to start out at the bottom.

With the first two steps into his future done with, he started to make plans for what he wanted to accomplish. He never forgot his vows to never ever treat his own children the way his parents did him. But before he could make that work, he would like to have a partner. Sure he could adopt, and he most probably will anyway, those children need good homes as well, but he couldn't picture himself being on himself, raising children on his own. So he started to make plans on getting a partner.

Somewhat insecure, Boy starts going out every free night he has. And it won't take long before he starts to see women he likes.

And they seem to notice him as well.

But it doesn't take them long to figure out that she is his boss, which mean she is out of the question for Boy. He wouldn't want to put his job into jeopardy by dating his boss, even though they never seem to be working at the same time.

With all the working and dating Boy has been doing recently, Tiger felt lonely. She realized she had been blessed with his constant attention before, she understood he needed to find himself a job and a mate. She'd just figured she needed someone of her own kind as well. So she went to the lab and started barking until those scientist figured it out. They made her a Tiny Tiger for her to care for and play with. That way, she would also know for sure that when the day would come that she would no longer be there to take care of Boy, there would be someone to replace Tiger Lily.

It didn't take long before Tiger wondered why she never longed for another dogs companion before.

When Boy takes home another date that didn't turn out the way he wanted, he decides he's had enough. It's not like those women he dates are not okay, they are all very lovely, but he just doesn't feel the spark. He won't be able to make that one lady appear out of thin air, just because he wants to.

So Boy decides to stop dating, and finally he gets around to doing some chores around his house. Fixing the dishwasher for instance.

Or not...

When that stupid thing also catches fire, Boy has had enough, he feels at a very deep low because his life won't go the way he wants it to. And when he thought he would be done with her for good, Buddy showed up. Boy quickly realizes this must mean that she will show up, whenever he is feeling as down as he can be. Though at the moment he won't complain, because Buddy grabs a fire extinguisher and does what he lacked the guts for. She puts out the fire.

The days keep passing, filled with work and chores around the house. Washing, cleaning, taking care of Tiger and Tiny. And like when he was a child, Buddy was watching his every move. Though it seemed as though Buddy lost her tongue this time, she never spoke a word.

Boy knew he had to go and see dr. Freud again. It was not a good sign that Buddy showed up again. Boy was still taking his meds, she shouldn't be here. So Boy went out, but this time not on a date, but to see dr. Freud. And while on his way there, something...or rather someone, caught his eye. It felt as if the earth came to a stop and stars were exploding inside his head. He felt drawn to her with no possibility to resist.

-------------------------------------------Notes---------------------------------------

I always thought the IF dolls would disappear once sims became adults, but have to admit, I never played with them this intensive. Buddy appeared again :) though this time I gave her a good personality. Instead of being the persona of his rebellious mean side, she becomes the persona inside him that has the courage and will to keep going (where he'd rather act as an cowered and lock himself up inside his house) and eventually, by just being there, she drives him out of his house again, and oh boy oh boy oh boy (no pun intended) what happens when he does so! Without him even looking for it!

oh an overview of boys flat, he probably won't live there for long.......but i like it!

  1. Thats... actually a really nice house! O_o Lucky Boy. Whenever my sims live in an apartment they always end up in an ugly cramped one. Some sims get all the luck.

Woo. Buddy's back! xD She cracks me up. And Tiger Lily cuddling her pup was sooooo cute.

Can't wait for your next update!

  2. Puppy! <3

It was nice to see Buddy show up and not be the embodiment of his "evil" side. : )

I'm glad to see Boy getting himself straightened out and separated from his parents.

  3. Puppy! Tiny Tiger is adorable.
Boy does have a nice apartment.
The new Buddy is an interesting new twist. I wonder what Dr. Freud will say about her.
