3.7 The First Sign of Trouble

Axel and Xander have their graduation at City Hall, Ryan remembers his own graduation day and can't believe how fast time has gone by. Axel got voted to be "Most Artistic" while Xander got voted "Most Likely to be a Rock Star".

Satya attended the ceremony as well, but she does not feel to well. During breakfast that morning, she started to get somewhat of a blurred vision, she tried to ask her mother in law if this was normal during the pregnancy, and she said she never had anything like that during any of her pregnancies.
Though she is worried, she decides to wait and see what happens, it's not like it's a severe thing, and maybe, it will just go away, she is probably overreacting.

But with time passing by, her belly grows, yet the worrying look never seems to fade from her face. The blurred vision is still there, if not getting worse. Ryan has noticed his wife worrying, but other then that the baby is fine, she won't comment on whatever is wrong. He blames the mood swings pregnant women are prone to, but he can't shake the feeling it is more then that.

So when her water breaks, she is relieved to go to the hospital, leaving her father in law behind to clean up the mess.

Holding hands all the way down to the hospital on the back seat of a cab, they both feel anxious. Satya hopes everything will go back to normal, once the baby is out. Ryan is hoping his wife and child will make it through this turmoil. Both remain silent, for the first time every in their relationship, they are both unaware of what the other is feeling, both of them to busy with their own thoughts and worries.

After the birth of their son Rafe, Satya broke down. She started crying and didn't seem to be able to stop. At first the nurses said it was maternity tears, all those hormones were washing out. But when Satya calmed down she started to talk to Ryan. With him sitting by her bed, stroking her cheek and holding her hand, she told him about her worries. Ryan was upset, but also worried, if she had told him this earlier he would have pressed her to go see a doctor, and that was exactly what she didn't want, she wanted to make sure their child was okay first, after all, it could have been possible it would go away after she gave birth. But it didn't. Ryan couldn't help but linger around at the entrance, worrying about the women who is his soulmate, he can't shake the feeling this is not good, not good at all.

Time passes by, Satya spends most of her time taking care of her baby boy, writing novels, or at the hospital undergoing examinations. So far, none of the doctors she has seen, has been able to find out what is wrong with her. They did notice some deterioration in her eyes, but not enough to explain the blurred vision. So far, they see now real reason to worry, so the family settles down a bit.

 Being the only baby in this household, Rafe gets a lot of attention. Boy is very happy to be able to experience his grandson like this.

Danya agrees on that, having a baby around the house that is your grandchild, gives a whole different feeling to it, then it was with her own children. It's far more easier to enjoy the child, then it was with her own. Because she always had to worry about what would become of them. Now she can just sit back and relax, and just play with Rafe.

Though Ryan has been promoted twice since he got married, he always manages to find some time to spend with his son. And though he is relieved that the doctors said that Satya is fine so far, that they can find nothing troublesome, he can't shake this awkward feeling, the worry remains in his eyes.

One night, Avian shows up, checking out the place. It appears he is still aware of who that man in the photograph is.

Not intend to change the way he is, he sits behind the computer, and ignores Boy, just as Boy is ignoring him now.

Avian can't stand being ignored himself though, so he decides to haunt the laundrybasket when Boy goes to bed. Boy realizes his father never grew up, only happy when someone pays attention to him, very selfish. When Boy logs in on the computer the next day, he notices the pages Avian has been looking at, all informational sites about Alzheimer. He wonders if Avian died behind the computer looking for information about this subject. It would explain why his mother treats him as if he is the nice bloke next door.

When Boy comes home from work later that day, he is very excited. He finally got that last promotion and is proud to be able to call himself a Power Broker. The minute he gets home though, he calls his work to tell them he is going to retire, they can find themselves a new power broker, he is going to stay home to enjoy his grandson. Who happens to have his birthday today.

Boy takes the honor of holding Rafe and blowing out his candles for him. He wishes for him to have a long and happy life, filled with love.

Under the watchful eyes of his parents, Rafe tries to sit up straight and the aging process starts.

And though the house is filled with family, he is quite happy with just the attention of his parents.

Rafe is a very happy toddler, with blond hair and brow eyes.

Bloody hell, another boy! What's up with that! I wan't a girl!! I wanted this child to be the heir initially, but if the second one is girl I'll probably go with that.....
Though I love the combination of blond hair and brown eyes. Blond?!? Perhaps it's Serena's, or it's that mutant hair......I'm hoping for Serena's, but she didn't die a blond, so I guess not...

And right after Rafe aged up, I tried to save, only to get error 12 AGAIN! ARGH!
