2.12 Derricks Angel?

Derrick is distraught when he sits down by Lee to do his homework, Lee can see that much. He is not sure how to respond to this new emotion on his nephews face. He has never seen Derrick show anything other then carefree emotions. Besides the occasional guilt when he had gotten into trouble again.

Lee looks at Derrick and wonders what is bothering him, but decides it's best to let Derrick be for a minute. If Derrick wants to talk about it, he will listen, if not, Lee will not push him.

But after a few minutes Lee gets tired of all the sighs Derrick is producing. "Derrick, spill your guts or go do your homework somewhere else, you're distracting me with all the moaning you're doing!"
Derrick, who didn't even realize he was moaning, looks up at his uncle. He still thinks it's a weird idea to look at Lee as his uncle. They grew up together and he isn't that much older then Derrick is, he's been more of a brother, or friend, to him, then an uncle.

Derrick scratches his head, not sure where to begin. "I'm confused Lee..." He starts the conversation, but Lee scoffs "I could see that." "Well are you going to let me talk to you about it? Or are you going to mock me before I even get started??" As Lee remains silent, Derrick takes the opportunity to continue, "there is this girl you know..." Lee interupts Derrick again, "A girl?? I always thought...."

"You always thought what," said Derrick squinting his eyes at Lee. Hesitant Lee continued, "well, that you were more into...oh well, never mind, a girl, i'll shut up now and let you talk, don't mind me."

"Why would you think I'm more into boys?" Derrick asked, "how did you get such an idea?" "Well, I'm not the only one who thinks so, it's because you always bring girls around, but you never seem to like one in that way. It always looks like all girls hanging out, no offence though, either way it's fine by me."

"Well, that's because I've never taken a real liking to any of those girls, every since I was a child I've known that Angel was the one for me, but when I grew up, and she didn't, and Ryan started to bring her home to play with, I started to think she'd never grow up, stay a vampire child forever you know, because of this "live longer" shit those vampires have going on. So I thought I'd stay alone forever."

"You do know that the "live longer shit", as you call it, only kicks in when they age into a young adults right? She is probably just a little bit younger then you are" Lee says while looking pensively at his nephew, sometimes he feels decades older then Derrick, perhaps it is because Lee reads a lot that he knows this much more then his nephew.
Derrick looks embarrassed, "no, I didn't, but I realized it when she turned up in school this morning, she must have aged up yesterday, and now I don't know what to do."

Getting back to his homework, Lee says the most obvious, "Just invite her over you jerk, it's not like she's never been here before." Derrick's pencil freezing above his paper, he feels even more dumb then he already did, "yes, that does sound like an idea."

Derrick put away his homework and invited Angel over right away. They hadn't been talking since Derrick grew up into a teenager, and Angel couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable about being here for Derrick again, after such a long time of silence.

"What's this all about Derrick? Why haven't you been talking to me all this time? Even though I was still a child I was still the same person..." Angel decided to confront him with this when she went over to him. He has always been her best friend, and she couldn't figure out why he would just dish her like that, "were you embarrassed to play with a child or something?"

Derrick doesn't really know how to respond to this without giving away his secret, so he shrugs and says "well no, but it was strange you know, me being a teenager, and you coming home with my little brother....I didn't know..." "you didn't know what?" Angel asks him.
Derrick closes his eyes and bows his head, "I didn't know you'd age up as well, I always thought vampires would take longer to age up, with the "longer living" shit..."
Hearing a chuckle from the table where Lee still sits with his homework, Derrick looks up and gives Lee the evil eye, which makes Lee laugh even harder until Angel gives him one as well. Lee picks up his homework and decides it's for the best to retreat to his bed and read a book.

Derrick continues quickly, before Angel could say anything, "but I know now that it was dumb to think that, and I am sorry I've neglected you." Angel can't help but laugh a bit.

She smiles at him "don't worry about it, it's okay, you're not the only one that doesn't know the ins and outs of being a vampire." And with that it doesn't take them long to start chatting like they used to when they were children.

They start to spend more time together again, day after day they are either at Angels house, or at Derricks. Though Derricks house is favorite, because they have a water slide. And they are both very happy that their friendship is just as good as it was when they were children.

And it is on one of those days, when they are about to hit the shower, both fully clothed in their swimming attire of course, they find themselves looking at each other. Both of them unable to turn away their gaze the tension builds. Neither of them is sure of what is happening or what to say, so they say nothing. Without noticing their heads draw closer to each other.
Tiger, who feels the tension between those two humans, decides it might be best to leave the bathroom.

And without knowing who started it, they find themselves kissing. Without thinking about it, they continue to kiss while Derrick's turns on the shower, and when they do undress this time, things go a lot further then either of them intended to.

When they are both dressed again, and back to their senses, Angel feels very bad about what happened. She should have never let things get so out of control, with her best friend for crying out loud! She didn't even think he was into girls. The fact that he should have been into boys was the only reason her mother would let her play at his house. Her mother is very protective of her daughter.
So Angel gets her stuff, and runs of, telling herself no-one has to find out, especially not her mother.

When Derrick hasn't heard from Angel in over two weeks after their shower together, he decides it's time to go to her place. "What's going on Angel? I haven't heard from you in over two weeks and you have been ignoring me at school...if its about...you know...we can talk about it, figure it out...fix it."

Derrick is shocked when Angel begins to cry, "this can't be fixed you fool" she sobs while rubbing the tears from her eyes. "My mum is furious, I'm pregnant! You knocked me up! And my mum will never ever forgive me for that! The only reason she'd let me go to your place was because we thought you were gay, and then the one thing she was always scared of happens! I get knocked up while still in high-school."

Derrick has always known Angels mother was protective towards her daughter, but he never realized that she wasn't allowed to play with all the other boys. He always thought she didn't want to. Derrick was starting to get annoyed about one thing though "why the hell does everyone thinks I'm gay! Lee hasn't shown any interest in girls either, but nobody says he's gay!" Still grumpy he mutters "well there's only one thing to do for me then, isn't there?"

Interrupted by a short bathroom visit for Angel, nauseousness can be so annoying, Derrick falls onto one knee and gets a little square box from his pocket. "I know we are still young, and legally not allowed to marry each other. But I bought this ring after...well, after we hit it off in the shower, hoping that when we'd be old enough I would be able to ask you properly. But I want everyone to know I'm serious about you, and that I didn't just knock you up and leave you to it. Angel, will you marry me?"

Shocked and feeling she has no other choice really, she agrees. She knows their is some sort of chemistry between them, or else they would have never ended up in that shower the way they did. And they are best friends as well, so what on earth could go wrong?

---------------------------------------------Notes-------------------------------------
I had to read back my last chapter to get into it again :S how weird, i'll never get sick again :( or perhaps it's because in-game its just going crazy with all those sims in the household.

And since there are so many Derrick lovers out there, I decided to dig into his character a bit more......and because some people *coughs* started to complain about not having those genes in my legacy I sort of changed the plot (I did intend Derrick to be gay) a bit, and well, so did the game itself by letting Angel grow up. (No, Derrick is not going to be the heir Zoku) but at least his genes will continue to exist within the town now :). I am really an idiot concerning vampires though :) I only ever played one, and that one was a sim created by me, and turned, so longer lifespan, I thought the previous stages would be longer as well :) and I just realized they aren't :).

As you have seen :) Tiger is still alive, I really didn't expect her to live this long! She's past her lifespan for quite some days now. But she is very sweet, so no trouble at all :)

Next update is gonna be birthdays again (among other things :))

  2. Dangit. For a moment there I had hope Derrick would be the heir! : P But still, I love Ryan so no (more) complaints from me. And I'm really glad Derrick did the right thing by Angel and has plans to marry her. They'll make adorable babies together <3

Also <3 Lee. "Everybody's thinking it, I'm just saying it...."

  3. Hmm, I figured he was gay too! Haha. But I'm glad he's doing the right thing and being supportive! Now I just have to see how this all turns out!
